Data & privacy

Claritea only requests read access to your YouTube channel. It never posts, edits, or deletes anything on YouTube. Connecting a channel lets Claritea analyze your videos and comments to build your analytics - nothing more.

When you share results with a sponsor, the recipient gets a read-only report of exactly what you chose to share - your account stays private, and they cannot see other sponsors’ data.

  • Commenter identities are anonymized in shared views, so your audience’s privacy is protected
  • Negative audience comments are excluded by default - you choose whether to include them when you create the link
  • You control raw data export - the Allow CSV download option on the share dialog decides whether the recipient can download a CSV of the data behind the report. Turn it off before sharing if you only want them to see the report
  • Share links expire on the schedule you set (7, 14, or 30 days), and you can revoke any link before then - it stops working immediately
  • Removing a channel in Manage accounts disconnects it and its data from your account
